መዝሙር

Find a hymn by feast, by singer, or by the words you remember.

Every mezmur opens to its words, set large over the hymn’s icon, with the player beneath. Lock the phone and it keeps playing; your headphones and lock screen control it. Search finds a hymn by its title or any line of its lyrics, however you spell ሀ, ሐ or ኀ.

  • Organised by feast and season: Meskel, Timket, Genna, Fasika, Saint Mary and the saints.
  • Browse by singer in የዘማሪያን ምድብ — every hymn by the voice you came for, in one place.
  • Download a single hymn or a whole category, and listen with no connection.
  • Favourites, recently played and repeat or shuffle, always one tap away.

ቅዳሴ

Follow the liturgy as it is sung, line by line.

Three complete recordings, each with its full text. As the kidase plays, the section being sung is marked, so you can stand in church or sit at home and never lose your place. The priest’s lines are set apart in gold from the people’s responses.

  2. ቅዳሴ እግዚእKidase Egzie49 min
  3. ቅዳሴ ማርያምKidase Mariam49 min
  • Jump straight to any section, and pick up where you stopped.
  • Download a liturgy once and follow it anywhere, even with the phone offline.
  • ሥርዓተ ቅዳሴ walks through the order of the kidase, part by part, to read and to hear.

Playlists from the community, read before they're shared.

Gather hymns into your own categories for a feast, a fast or a choir rehearsal, and share them with everyone who uses Arganon. Shared lists open from a link, too.

  • Every shared playlist is reviewed before anyone else can see it.
  • A hand-picked shelf, በአርጋኖን የተመረጡ, sits beside the lists the community likes most.
  • Anything that doesn’t belong can be reported, and its publisher blocked, in two taps.

ተግባር

Turn a verse into something you can share.

ተግባር is a small workshop inside the app. Pick a mezmur or a passage of the kidase, choose the lines, and Arganon sets them for you.

  • A verse card over an icon or your own photo, square or sized for a story or status.
  • A short video of the hymn playing beneath its words.
  • A ringtone cut from the part of a mezmur you choose.

Eight colours to dress it in.

Every theme is dark and quiet, made to be read in a dim church or late at night. Choose the one that feels like yours.

Made for tablets too.

On an iPad or Android tablet the list stays on the left and the hymn opens beside it, so the words and the next mezmur are both in view — handy on a music stand.

Offered to the community, and kept that way.

Every hymn is free

All mezmurs, every liturgy and every download are open to everyone. Nothing sits behind a paywall.

A short ad, sometimes

Saving for offline, setting a ringtone or publishing a playlist shows one ad first. If no ad can load, the feature opens anyway.

Ad-free on iPhone, if you like

Arganon Premium is an optional subscription that only removes the ads. It doesn't unlock any hymns.

Nothing to sign up for

No account, no email, no password. Your favourites and downloads live on your phone.
